I am sure by knowing about monkey bread, you must be craving for it. So here is my easy way of making this outstanding Monkey bread cake. The monkey bread has 4 parts to it. This may sound like a lot of work but most of the ingredients are mostly repetitive. You have to make sure to keep in mind the fact that the brown sugar sauce will be poured before we begin baking the cake. This is the reason for the monkey bread’s gooey and sticky texture. The parts have to be prepared individually
The 4 parts are-
Brown sugar sauce: softened butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract
Dough: sugar, eggs, salt, milk, yeast, butter and flour
Coating for dough ball: cinnamon, sugar and butter
Vanilla icing: powdered sugar milk and vanilla extract
Let us begin with making the dough. Before we get into the processes let me tell you that it is the best monkey bread I have ever tasted and rich because of the that it is homemade. The best part about the dough is that it comes together very quickly without any hassle. If you want, you can start with the dough the night before to save time.
You will need the following key ingredients:
• Milk to activate yeast. You can take low fat if you want but full fat makes the texture and flavor even more phenomenal.
• Yeast. Dry or instant both are good.
• Sugar softens the dough and activates the yeast.
• Eggs for structure and flavor to the cake.
• Butter intensifies the flavor of the cake
• Salt for adding more flavor
• Flour main component of the dough

Now that you have all the ingredients, mix them together and prepare a dough by adding little bits of water. Continue beating the dough until it becomes perfect consistency. Set the dough aside to make it rise and fluff up. After 1-2 hours, take the dough on a flat surface and punch down to release the air. Pull out little pieces of dough and roll them into little balls. Dip these balls into melted butter and then into cinnamon and sugar coating. Heavier coating of sugar and cinnamon will help to make the balls more flavorful.

Invert into a serving plate after baking and allow it to cool for 10 minutes. Now drizzle with vanilla icing prepared previously. Stir the icing to remove air and bring back the smoothness. Pour it all over the cake.
Lastly add a small amount of powdered sugar with a strainer available. Serve while hot.
Note: make sure to refrigerate the balls before coating to avoid sticking together. To push the balls into one another with pressure else they will not pull out individually. Cover the top of the cake with a foil to avoid fast browning or burning.
Whisk the icing properly to give it a smooth texture. The aerated mix will not taste good. If you want to have faster rising then opt for instant yeast.
